In recent months, the trend of “face taping” has established itself as a supposed alternative to Botox. Special tape is applied to the face to smooth wrinkles and temporarily tighten the skin. While many influencers celebrate the method as a natural way to combat wrinkles, Dr. Barbara Franz warns that the effect is only temporary.
Although the skin is smoothed by the tape in the short term, the wrinkles return after removal. For deeper wrinkles and lasting results, the dermatologist recommends proven methods such as Botox.
