Sexually transmitted diseases, or more precisely sexually transmitted infections (STDs), are among the diseases in dermatology that can sometimes cause serious health problems. Although most STDs are easily treatable, the diseases often remain undetected due to the difficult-to-recognize symptoms and are passed on unknowingly, and often treated too late.
